PostFinance Arena

The PostFinance Arena is the home stadium of SC Bern and is one of Bern's biggest landmarks. With over 17 000 seating and standing capacity, the arena is one of the largest event halls in Europe. The complex, which was expanded in 2009, includes a modern office building, a training hall, a new outdoor field with dressing room building as well as a parking garage. The PostFinance Arena is well connected to public transport and to the A6 motorway via the nearby Bern Wankdorf exit.

Ice Hockey World Championship in Bern

In spring 2009, the PostFinance Arena hosted the Ice Hockey World Championships for the third time.

Inauguration Event

In 2009, after two years of renovation, the arena was inaugurated with a festival of games, sports and music.. Singers like Gölä, Plüsch singer Ritschi as well as the Swedish rockers from Europe thrilled 12000 visitors on that day.
