Portfolio

Portfolio

Swiss Prime Site’s property portfolio contains only high-quality property and locations. It also has a good sustainability balance overall. The portfolio currently comprises around 160 properties. The total amount of rental space amounts to approximately 1.7 million m².

The value creation process is initiated by acquiring commercial properties, sites or real estate. Our primary business focus is portfolio and asset management. Developing and realising real estate projects and converting and modernising entire sites are also very important ways of creating value. The prime property portfolio is strategically optimised on a continuous basis, including as part of the strategy and the CO2 reduction pathway.

Geographical distribution

The majority of properties are located in German-speaking Switzerland. The canton and in particular the city of Zurich account for the majority. Another important region is the Lake Geneva basin.

Types of use

The focus is mainly on the needs of commercial and service businesses. The two currently most significant types of use are mainly office but also retail. The logistics and infrastructure type of use is growing strongly.

Climate Neutrality by 2040

In 2019, a detailed CO2 reduction pathway was developed for the entire property portfolio. The aim is to achieve climate neutrality by 2040. In this context, we transparently indicate the resources we work with and how they are used appropriately. We also set ourselves ambitious milestones on the road to becoming climate neutral, including certification of all spaces and achieving outstanding scores in assessments such as GRESB and all ESG ratings.
