Prime Tower
The glassy, 126-meter-high Prime Tower with its 36 floors is one of the tallest office buildings in Switzerland. It takes just 30 seconds to reach the top floor, which corresponds to a speed of 6.5 meters per second. It offers space for 2,000 workstations and, thanks to its modern building infrastructure, excellent accessibility and a creative environment, is an ideal place to work and Zurich's business hotspot par excellence. The community consists of various service companies, retail and gastronomy, which are rented in the Prime Tower and also the two annex buildings Cubus and Diagonal.
Sustainability in the Prime Tower
Prime Tower has been certified several times in the area of sustainability. It was awarded the LEED Gold (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) seal of approval and Minergie certification in part because of its sophisticated energy concept. For example, heating and hot water are generated from waste heat from various chillers. In addition, the photovoltaic system installed last year on the associated neighboring building (Plattform) produces around 130,000 kWh. With the electricity produced, one could drive 4.7 million kilometers on a Segway or supply 16 four-person households with electricity. Last but not least, 13,460 liters of heating oil could be saved.
