Messeturm
The Messeturm is one of Basel's landmarks and, at 105 meters high, dominates the city's skyline. The tower with its vertical ecosystem, make it the ideal place to work: from the art exhibition in the foyer, fitness and spa, to fine dining, hotel and flexible office space. The rooftop bar on the 31st floor is particularly spectacular. Between the 5th and 14th floors resides the Hyperion Hotel. The 230 modern hotel rooms were completely refurbished in 2017. They are designed for visitors to the various trade fairs and events in the city of Basel. Located directly at the Messeplatz, it is easily accessible by public as well as individual transportation.
Sustainability at Messturm
At Messeturm Basel, 100% sustainability is exemplified. The new office spaces were converted into ecological and healthy office environments using environmentally friendly, pollutant-free materials in accordance with the Cradle to Cradle® principle. This means that all materials used can be kept in circulation and reused. Air-purifying wall paints and a special plant concept ensure optimal well-being. With CO2-reducing measures and the promotion of Green Mobility. E-bike charging stations and a sharing mobility concept are just as much a part of this as the Cradle to Cradle® design principle.
At the end of 2022, the Messeturm was certified with BREEAM Bestand. BREEAM certification (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is a method for assessing sustainability. It is used to certify projects, infrastructures and buildings. Launched in 1990 by the Building Research Establishment (BRE), it sets standards for the environmental characteristics of buildings through the design, specification, construction and operation phases.
