The SkyKey is the first skyscraper in Switzerland to be awarded Platinum status by the internationally recognized "LEED" (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) label. This means that the property has been proven to meet the highest technological, economic and ecological standards. Important architectural requirements, various sustainability criteria, resource efficiency and aspects of the high-quality interior design counted as the basis for certification. The building's own photovoltaic system produces approximately 67 Mwh of electricity per year. Thus, more than 7000 liters of heating oil could be saved.
